She looked great in her black dress too lol. HAHA I loved Living in America when Kat and Taylor were imitating each other. Anything that Taylor did Kat looked at him laughed and tried doing the same funny thing. The entire show was amazing and each idol did their fans proud.

In sheer determination to meet Kat, I followed the bus down the street where it made a complete stop for like 10 min. I immediately ran to the first bus (girls one) to try and meet Kat. Once I got to the bus Mandisa, Paris, and Lisa were talking to fans and had their heads out the window I talked to them for a bit asked them if they were tired where they were going etc then I finally said where is Kat I wanna show her my shirt (my Kat shirt was made for me and its awesome I'll have to post a pic of it) and so then they said shes up front somewhere so I went up front and to my surprise met up with 2 other Kat fans hooting and hollering trying to get her attention well the doors were closed and she wasnt coming , then this guy opens the door and i scream we want kat we want kat just loud enough for her to hear and she runs to the front door and stands there and waves and blows kisses for like 20 sec lol.I was so excited that I got her attention.

FYI that wasnt the only time I got her attention during the night lol I actually got her to wave at me and blow me a kiss from the stage. Towards the end of the show she was just waving around to the fans after living in america and I jumped on my chair stood up and said Kat look (pointing to my shirt) and she looked right at me and blew me a kiss thanked me and waved at me. It was honestly one of the best nights of my life. I was so excited that I got her attention.

Later on... When Kat came to the busses front door and waved and blew kisses to everyone I was dying. In my head I was thinking shes right there in front of me 2 feet from me and I cant do anythng about it it was nuts. She really did seem so appreciative of us being there wanting to meet her. She also seemed like she wanted to come out but she couldnt. I wish she wouldve come to the window and mandisa, paris, and lisa were behind the door lol. No offense to them they were awesome but kats my girl lol

Danielle called me (because I wanted a cellcert since I missed Kat at the Pittsburgh show) and she let me listen to SOTR. It was absolutely flawless.

Then afterwards she put Kat on the phone and I got to talk to her! w00t.gif I was pretty much shocked, I don't even know what I said! There were so many things I wanted to say to her but at that moment my mind was blank! I think I said that I went to the Pittsburgh show and that I was sad that I didn't get to see her and she was like "I know, I'm so so sorry" and I told her hopefully I'll see her on her own tour one day and she said something like "Tell everyone to go buy my album so I can have my own tour!" and I told her I'd definitely be buying it.

She was a total sweetheart. Now I wish I would've recorded the conversation because I could have on my phone! I know I couldn't even believe it was happening. I wanted to tell her she was gorgeous, that I loved her voice, that I voted for her every night 2 hours straight, that I bought so many copies of her single... but when she came on the phone and said "Hi Caitlin" my brain wasn't functioning. haha.gif

OK, I attended the Reading Pa. concert last night with my teen daughter. We were both wearing orange kat pack shirts. I had also bought 20 katharinefans glowsticks,and 2 large banners I had professionally printed (my company makes GIANT printers). We left a little late for the 2 1/2 hour trek from NJ, and got to the venue at about 2:45. We immediately saw the busses parked next to the venue with a small crowd gathered next to barricades. Ace was there posing with fans, and we were told he had spent half an hour talking to whoever wanted to meet him. So we settled in and waited to try and get a glipse of Kat, and about 30 minutes later were rewarded when Kat left the bus to make a cell phone call. We caught her attention, and she smiled and climbed up on a tall green fence separating us from the bus staging area. She waved and apologized for not being able to come out because they were being kept very busy. That was it for pre-show sightings. No other Idols made any appearances at the fence except Kat and Ace.

While we were waiting we ran into Allie (Katpack4ever), who was there with her mom. They had made a 9 hour trip down from Canada, and had been waiting at the venue since around 1:00! Canadian Kat fans are awesome! We all quickly became friends, since Kat's fans are the nicest, most wonderful people. We also met up with Mellisa (mel3), the owner of LexiLu and the designer of all those wonderful earrings Kat wore during the competition. She had also driven in from NJ with her daughter. Unfortunately there didn't seem to be many other Kat fans waiting. At least none displaying their colors. ;) So I decided to hold onto the glowsticks until we got inside. By 4:30 the Idols had gone inside for the Meet & Greet. I had hoped to have a chance to sweet talk the Poptarts people into a pass, but they were nowhere to be found. In fact, noone of any official capacity appeared, except the yellow shirted venue event staff. Giving up hope, we decided to catch some dinner before the show.

We came back to the venue a little after 6:00 and decided to go inside. Before entering, we distributed the glowsticks and hid them under our shirts, for obvious reasons! Our seats were 7th row center, and Allie's were 8th row to the right side. We started to look for others in orange to hand out glowsticks to, but unfortunately there were not a lot of Kat fans in the floor sections. We did meet up with Renee(carrienKat), who was there with a friend. We gave them glowsticks and one of the banners to hold up for Kat. The show started about 30 minutes late with Mandissa, followed by Ace, Lisa, Paris, Bucky, Kellie, then intermission. Ace got the warmest reception of the bunch, especially when he took off his jacket (the dude is PUMPED), and then when he tossed his beanie two rows behind us. I enjoyed Lisa the most, with her exquisite Elton John ballads and piano accompaniment. They were all in good voice though, and seem to have benefitted from the months of practice.

After the intermission, Chris was greeted with thunderous applause and loud screams. If Reading was any Idols town, it was Chris'. And he rewarded his fans with a usual Chris caliber performance. Elliott was next, and he had a smaller but just as vocal contingent in the audience. Now it was time for the male group number Patience, so I started prepping to video Kat. I had purchased a new, tiny, digital still/camcorder combo especially for this show, and I intended to get some real killer video to post for you guys. Well, Kat started BHATCT in darkness, and I stood with many others in the audience and started video recording. I have to say that Kat recieved a very warm reception, considering the lack of dedicated Kat fans in the audience. Kat was in marvelous voice, and BHATCT was wonderful as you will see in the video. Kat then segued right into 'Think' after a short introduction. All was going well, when midway into the song I was accosted from both sides by security. They threaten ed to confiscate my camera if I didn't cease and desist, so I obviously, unfortunately and sadly put my camera away. Meanwhile, Kat had come down off the stage and singing to the people in the first row. She stopped in front of one tall, bald, and VERY LUCKY guy, whom she PUT HER ARMS AROUND and serenaded! WOW! And I had 'cheaped out' on front row seats at $250 a pop! Ughhhh!... So now comes 'piesta resistance', SOTR. And I couldn't video it, the bad guys were watching me like a hawk. Oh well, it was a flawless performance, and the audience just ate it up. Unfortunately security left me in a bit of a funk, so I can't give a better recap of SOTR

And I also can't say much about Taylor's songs, since I was
distracted reviewing what video of Kat I had.

We left our seats at the start of the group number because we wanted to get a primo spot out by the busses. But to no avail. None of the idols came over to the fence, and we only got a brief glipse and a wave from Kat when she visited the guy's bus, which was closest to us. Around 11:00pm the gates were opened and the busses starting pulling out. Kat, being the sweetheart she is, came to the front of the bus and waved at us as they drove out, which we all thought was the end..but to everyone's amazement the busses stopped a block away to wait for the rest of the caravan to catch up. All the remaining fans RAN to the busses. Of course most people crowded the guys bus, but Allie, Renee, my daughter and I made a beeline for the front of the girls bus. Lisa and Paris had openned one of the rear windows and were talking to fans, but Kat was nowhere to be found. Then the bus driver openned the front door for a moment, and we all started shouting 'We want Kat!' at the top of our lungs. Well, our sweet girl heard us and came up front, where she smiled, waved and blew kisses at us for about 20 seconds until the busses started pulling away. This I DID catch on video for your viewing pleasure. =) After fighting off the impulse to run after the bus like a group of puppies after a Kat, we decided to call it a night and retreated to our hotel exhausted, but thrilled and more in love with Kat than ever, if that's even possible.

Ok I have to tell somebody this so here goes. Last night was the greatest night of my life.
I went to the Concert at the Sovereign Center in Reading Pennslyvania and this was also my first concert. I had gone to the concert for my birthday and that day just happend to be the exact date of my birthday. In case you don't know, it was September 16. Anyway this was the only concert that was close to where I lived so I wasn't gonna pass up the opourtunity to see Kat.

I went with my brother who wasn't a Kat fan but he understood why I was a Kat fan. We arrived at the venue around 5 or a little after 5 and waited in line when everybody was screaming because they saw Chris Daughtry at the tour busses. My brother rushed over to where he was because he was a Chris fan. He didn't get an autograph so then Chris was gone and we went inside to find our seats.

WOW we had great seats. These seats were Floor 2 seats row Q and we could totally see the stage with perfect view. So I'll just skip to when the concert started. I really cant say much about the Idols before Kat except that they were all good.

I was sitting in my seat talking to my brother when Kat came on stage and my eyes instantly lit up. She was wearing the black dress with her back showing and she looked Incredible. I couldn't take my eyes off her and I just sat there for awhile not saying a word but just staring in amazement because I was actually seeing the person who I voted for LIVE and that voice that voice sounded beautiful as ever.

After she sang Somewhere over the rainbow I finally stood up and shouted her name before she went off stage. When she came on stage again for Living In America, again I was amazed on how she looked and how she sang. So afterwards she bowed with the Idols and walked off stage.

I was Shocked. Seeing her was the best birthday present ever and nothing can top it. I couldn't have asked for anything better for my birthday. Then my brother wanted to make my birthday extra special by trying to get me to meet Kat. I had bought a Kat poster and we went outside where the tour busses were and waited.

I really wanted to get Kat to sign my poster and get a picture with her but the only thing that happend was Kat came out of the tour bus for a little bit and waved to the fans which was nice. When the busses were leaving and passing us, Kat had been in the front seat waving to all of her fans and I was struggling to hold up my poster and I'm pretty sure she saw me because there was no one else behind me. With that said I went home playing the whole night in my head all over again wishing I could go back.

I had got home and hung the poster up on my wall and today everytime I walked in my room, I stared at the poster for 5 minutes thinking to myself, "That was the greatest night of my life and I'll never forget it. I know again this is long lol. Im sorry it is but I have a habbit of writing more than I am supposed to. This just shows how much of a fan of Katharine I really am. Once again BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!!!!!

Before The Show... It took us 7 hours, we got there about 6:30, we found will call, and I gave the lady my ID, and she handed me my tickets and passes!!She had a huge smile on her face. On the envolope it said "Guest Of Kat" and my dad opened it and said "They really are here" he had his doubts about the tickets and passes, I told him they would be at Will Call. Found our seats, OMG VIP seats are amazing it was on the side of the stage, I could see everything grin.gif At one pont I saw a black hoodie, my friend Bonnie said it was a girl, we believe it was Kellie cause we could see little blonde hairs!!I was feeling a bit dizzy so Bonnie went and got me a Kat, Ace, and Chris pin (your see how funny that was later)So I put them on. We were sitting next to some guys that new Ace cause they had an A on there pass, while we had a K.

The concert... Everyone by now should know what songs and all... Mandisa-AMAZING!!She is so beatiful!!!I wish I got more pics of her, I only got 3!!!

ACE YOUNG!!!*THUD*when he came out me and Bonnie screamed so loud w00t.gif When he took that jacket off, you needed to hold me back. He came oer to our side alot, I held up my poster that he signed in Pittsburgh that said "Ace I'm Single & Legal" he waved at me and winked wub.gif I then yelled out "Ace I love you" and he yelled back "I love you to" (Ace loves me wub.gif )

Lisa-She was better this time, I enjoyed her, she has amazing talent!!I loved the Elton John song!!

Paris-The duet with lisa it was good, but I don't like that song. Paris is a bundle of energy!!

Bucky-He was good, just good the crowed enjoyed him

Kellie-never liked her on the show, but I have grown to love her. She has the cutest voice. Intermission...WAY 2 LONG!!!!!!!!The lady behind me was a huge Chris fan, and i told her he was comming up next, and she was HAPPY!!!!

Chris-Crowd Fav. everyone in their dog screamed for that man, he is so talented, he knows how to work a crowd.

Elliott-I loved the duet with Chris!!Elliott was good, kinda boring, the crowed loved him, I did love "Trouble"

Guys Number-At this point I was freaking cause Kat was next!!!

KATHARINE-OMG!!!I lunged out of my seat and screamed She saw me and waved, I held up my poster "Burning Up With McPheever", but Bonnie told me to sit down cause there was this little itty girl behind us and I didn't want to block her view. At one point this dude ran across the stage and kat craked up so did everyone else. She was flawless I tell you!!Her set flew by!!The crowed loved her, she seemed so happy grin.gif

Taylor-I was still on my Kat high, not a Tay fan, but he was good. My dad thought he had problems HAHA LIA-Kat and Taylor were having a blast on the top of the stage. For all you KACE fans!(like me)Kat grabbed Ace's waist for about 2 seconds, and smiled I held up my sign that I made a night before that said "Highroller With McPheever"both of them saw it. At the end of the song Ace was on our side and took off his beanie and ponited for like 10 seconds at me and Bonnie wub.gif We were the only ones freaking out!!!

The After Show grin.gif PLAY BY PLAY w00t.gif w00t.gif We went to the other side of the arena and sat down for about 3 mintues, then they called Blue passes which I was. I was shaking so bad by this point. They let us in the room OMG it was beatiful, they had all these white tables, and coffee(my dad got some)I was looking for the Idols, then Bonnie said "There is Kat" I was like "What where"HAHA I didn't even see her at first cause there were these ladies around her. So I watch her and she is taking pictures with everyone I kinda just stood in the backround by the way it was like 100 degrees in that room. Then I look over and see Ace, but I wanted Kat first cause I already met him in Pittsburgh. Bucky comes in (poor guy, like no one notices him) Bonnie did and g ot a pic with him. Mandisa and Lisa come in for like a mila second and leave.

Then I was like 2 feet away from Kat, before me was this lady and her daughter who was like 5 or 6 (cute) They knew Kat before idol and stuff cause I talked to her later on. Then after them Kat looked at me w00t.gif I was like "Hi I'm Danielle" and told her who gave me the passes. She have me a huge hug wub.gif I gave her my scrapbook(thank you to everyone who sent me somthing for it) Kat then walked over to the table and sat it down, and I just stood there, she then said "You can come here"in the most soft spoken voice ever she opened it and said it was "Beautiful" I then was like "i do have to show you something" so I flipped to my page the first one, and showed her pics of my nephew's kissing her picture she was like "awww." I believe I had Caitlin on the other line(Littleluvable)and I asked if she could do me a favor and talk to her cause she missed her in Pittsburgh. Kat said "well I have all these other people, and if I don't get to them they will kill me, but you guys can hang out if you want to" So Then I got a picture with her wub.gif w00t.gif w00t.gif Also I forgot while I was talking my friend Bonnie was standing 2 feet away holding my "Highroller with McPheever"poster and Kat said she saw it grin.gif Then she also saw this Wanted Katharine Mcphee little thing I made on Print shop and was like "aww that is so cute"Bonnie was holding it, it was on the back of a "Ace of my heart" poster.Oh yea she also signed my Kat pic in the tourbook.

Katharine was hounded by people!!!So then I was behind Ace Young!!!but I had to go all the way back in line to meet Ace, then Chris comes in (I meet him later) So I had to catch my breath so i just stooped down on the red carpet. I was getting closer to Ace!!Then he was like 'Who's next' I said Hi and I was like do you remember me and i believe he said of course. She signed his pic in the tourbook, and I got a picture with him, he held me so tight wub.gif wub.gif w00t.gif w00t.gif Then I said "Bye"

I wasn't feeling that great, I was really overheated and I have bad panic attacks, so I went and Sat at a round white table. I put my hand up to my head. Then Katharine comes over to me and says "Hey Danielle are you ok"and she kneeled on the chair infront of me I was like 'Ya I just have bad panic attacks' and she said "aw why?" and I was like "I don't know" and we talked about her CD and I said I was gonna buy it.

Then I asked if she could talk to Caitlin and she said"Oh yeah I forgot" So I called her and handed Kat the phone" Kat said sorry for missing Pittsburgh, and to buy her CD so she can go back out on the road. Then she said by to her, and handed me back my phone w00t.gif Katharine Mcphee talked on my cell phone w00t.gif Then she got up and so did I, and she saw this little girl, and was like "Aww..hi sweetie, do you want a hug" and this liitle girl about 3 or 4 is my guess ran into her arms wub.gif and Kat picked her up it wa so cute i got a picture of it so you can see it. Then Kat said that she had to go, she was tired she then gave me a HUG huge goodbye and left wub.gif wub.gif Let me just saw Kat is the nices person ever, I kept telling her that HAHA!!!!she is so soft spoken, she is like one of your close friend's, she really did care about me. I felt bad when she huged me cause I was sweating so bad HAHA!!!!SHE IS THE BEST!!!!!!!I LOVE HER wub.gif wub.gif

So then I went over and waited inline to meet Chris OMG he was so sweet and called everyone "Sweetie" he was like'Hey sweetite" I gave him my book to sign and he wrote "To Danielle Rock On Chris" wub.gif I told him he was amazing!!!!and I got a picture with him, just like Ace he held me so close wub.gif i got great candids of his head HEHEHE!!!!

No one else showed up!!!Bonnie thinks that there were 2 meet and greet rooms cause I guess some people had on red passes, so who knows. I'm just glad i met my Top 3 w00t.gif

So we were leaving and I was like "Is Ace here", but he wasn't so we walked past the room, and I went back and I saw Ace sitting at a back table talking to about 5 people, the people we were sitting next to at the show

SO that is about it!!!We got back about 1 pm yesterday, couldn't get online cause we were having a family picnic type thing. Today in school I wore my backstage pass HAHAHEHE!!

The concert was on a roll...followed by the elegant Katharine McPhee who had fun with “Black Horse & The Cherry Tree.”McPhee was the only Idol to wear an outfit that didn't come out of an American Eagle catalog. She performed in a black, floor-length gown, which added a little class to the other performers' grunge-style attire.

I must say..I loved Kat more after I met her. I have always been a fan, but not a HUGE one. She is amazing and more gorgeous in person. She was soo nice to me too. She even asked me if she spelled my name right. I told her I thought she was pretty and my mom even said to her "Kat, you are amazing and such a pretty girl." She was also very soft spoken when I met her..very quiet. She is soo adorable and I love her even more now. I met her Saturday, and it was seriously the best day of my entire life. Ok, this concert was amazing. My seats were on the floor 7th row (literally 4 ft from the stage). Let me just tell you wow! That is the only way I can describe the night. Everyone was so good tonight. Katharine was definitely my highlight of the night. I didnt get to see her in Philly and she was just so phenomonal tonight. After an hour and 15 min wait and being squashed and cursed at and pushed and stepped on, the buses rode off and Kat and Paris waved to the fans from the girls bus and from the guys bus Ace sat at the steps near the door and video recorded us the fans as he was leaving.
