My daughter and I attended the Anaheim concert tonight. This was her first big concert, and it was such a joy to share it with her. (She is a big Kellie fan and also loves Katharine.) My recap will be somewhat brief because all of the glowing things I want to say about Katharine and her performance have been said before. Just think of all the great things you’ve read about Katharine in concert recaps, and know that I truly felt the same way about every song. She is just an amazing performer and a very beautiful girl. Just a couple of things to add: She gave a shout out to her mom in the audience tonight, which was nice. She also talked about Anaheim being Lisa’s hometown, and that they were both California girls. The Anaheim crowd cheered REALLY loudly for all the singers. During BHATCT, every person in that audience was on their feet and dancing. Katharine scared me a bit running up the stairs during “Think” because she stepped on her dress; thank goodness she didn’t stumble. I was thinking, “Katharine! Please pick up your dress!” And that girl sure can run fast. Add that to her long list of talents. She is so fun during LIA – I just love how carefree and fun she is is during that song. Oh, and I was really jazzed when someone handed me an orange glowstick & I looked around and saw about 50 of them in my section. Way to go, Kat fan. Now I’m going to turn this recap over to my 7 year-old daughter . . .
It was good. I really like the American Idols, except for Taylor.
I really liked the soft music (not loud).
I liked when Katharine sang OTR because it was pretty and soft. The prettiest girl was definitely, definitely Katharine – her lips, her eyes, her face, her hair. And I liked that people wouldn’t let Taylor talk because they were all clapping. It was so funny because they were like “we’re not done yet.” I like that there was food there. And I like that they gave out great pop-tarts at the end. It was so yummy.
I loved dancing on the chair during Katharine’s songs. She made me feel great. She made feel not shy anymore. It was just great.
The cutest boy was Ace because when he was singing I was thinking “Ay, he’s so handsome.” I almost screamed and fainted, but I couldn’t scream because I’d be too embarrassed if I did.
If I could change something, I would change the lights because they could hurt your eyes so bad and the super loud music – that could break somebody’s ear drums.
My favorite part of the night was eating the nachos because I haven’t eaten nachos in such a long time.
I thought Lisa was amazing, I mean “wow, wow, wow” because she was just a great singer and dressed very, very pretty.
Taylor’s music was so loud & it was not music, it was just noise.
I loved Kellie. I didn’t like how she dressed like a big babe, but she sang like stars in the sky. And when I was there I was so tired because I’ve never heard anybody sing that much in my whole entire life. That was like 30 songs altogether. And it was funny because at Taylor’s part you and me were like, mom was on her cell phone and I was drawing pictures.
