So around 5:30pm my best friend Lindsey and I took off for the Van Andel Arena for the concert. Now this may sound extremely sad, but this was my first concert.

Our seats were on the floor to the very left, row 17, but since the VA is a relatively small arena, the 17th row seemed more like the 10th.

Okay now Katharine! I knew exactly when she was going to come on stage so I grabbed Lindsey's hand and jumped up before anybody else, waiting impatiently for the "2, 3, 4." It finally came and there was Katharine, sitting right on top of the ramp looking as beautiful as ever. The crowd didn't go as wild for her as I had expected them to, but Lindsey and I made sure to give her all the "woos" and "ow ow owwwws" we could manage to scream without the Taylor fans in front of us giving us weird looks. She had that backless black dress on and she just seemed to float around the stage like a complete angel.

After she had finished with BHATCT, she gave her speech and seemed genuinely touched by the reception that Grand Rapids gave her. Although I bet she says that to every arena. ;)

She started singing SOTR and that seemed to be what the crowd was waiting for her to sing. The place went wild and there was never a silent moment during the song because everybody was too busy screaming their approval. You could tell her voice still wasn't 100% but that doesn't mean she didn't sound absolutely wonderful.

Skipping ahead to LIA, she did the funniest and most adorable moves up on the ramp when it was just her and Taylor! I actually think she gave Taylor a good run for his money. In one of my pictures of it, she actually looks like she's doing the robot? Anyway, I have to admit that I didn't pay as much attention to Kat as I would've liked to during this performance because whenever Chris was on stage, he was the main focus of my camera lens.

But I must say that whenever I took my eyes off of Chris, they went directly to Katharine and she looked like she was having a great time with everybody. A funny thing I'd like to mention is that she went over to Chris and put her arm on his shoulder and I freaked out, trying desperately to zoom in on my camera, but with my luck she walked away before I could get the shot lol.

Ok so we got there got our tickets and backstage passes for the after party...and then walked around the town for awhile...first i looked through the window at the meet and greet, and saw mandisa and i think i saw kat...but wasnt sure...btw- i wore a shirt i made, that on the front said "Got McPheever" then on the back it said little things like "Go Kat!" "Kat Pack" "=^..^=" and "McPheever On Fire" (with flames on the letters) and a rainbow, for Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and "#1 Fan!" and stuff like that...

ok so the doors and everything opened and we went straight upstairs to buy merchandise and stuff...and i got a Kat t-shirt, the Kat poster, and Kat picture, and Chris pin...my little sis got the poster with all 10 of them, and she got the chris picture and the kat pin...and we got the tour book...then we went to find our seats with were center of the 7th row...we were so close to the idols it was insane! ok then it was intermission, and i was getting really like nervous...cause my idol...Katharine Mcphee was coming on the stage soon!

Then...it was Kats turn...and i freaked out...i screamed as loud as i could...and she came out in this beautiful long black dress...and she looked stunning as usual...she sang Black horse and a Cherry tree...and did twirls and spins all around the stage, it was adorable! then she started talking...and was like "as most of you know, i missed the first 3 weeks of the tour, cause i was sick and on full vocal rest...and i am only allowed to sing 2 songs tonight, doctors orders, and so yea i am letting my little vocal chords a little break, and also i just recently broke my foot *smiles, and lifts leg up to show everyone*" and every starts to go "awww...." and so then she sings "Somewhere Over the rainbow" and most everyone sits down...except for some ppl, and of course my sis and i...and well she was singing and started walking awag and her dress was under te mic stand...so she tried pulling it...and the looked at the audience and while singing...she smiles...and kinda laughs although shes singing...walks back over the the mic stand...lifts it up and moves it...and she like picks it up...like shows it to us...moves it and sets it down...it was funny...so then right away she stops smiling and continues with the song...then...later in the sing, i waved to her...and she waved back, and i looked at my sis, with my mouth wide open and my eyes got big and i smiled, then looked back at kat, and she was still looking at me, and when she saw me smile HUGE, and smiled huge too! and it was so awesome! lol i was so excited! ok so then she was done...and everyone screamed SO loud for her! she did so amazing! like phenominal!

then all the boys except taylor came and sang...then taylor came and sang...and hes amazing live...very cool...fun to watch! makes you laugh! and he got an encore i do believe! actually i think all the idols did...or i dunno! cause the band left...then came back out...and taylor sang one more song...then all of them came out and sang...and kat was wearing a new outfit...this time in jeans and this creme silky like tank thing...with this big wide brown belt around her stomach! she looked great...her hair was curly btw! so the group song was great!

ok...then...the concert was over and we went and sat in the area, to get ready for the after show...they took us to the room...and the first person i met was...the lovely, Katharine McPhee! And so we walked over to her...and she was like "hi!" and smiled...and i was like "hi" and smiled back...and she was like "awww...you made a shirt, its so cute!" and i was like "thanks" shes like "thats so sweet, do you want me to sign it?" and i was like "yea" (i was really shy) so she signed it, and she wrote "thanks so much ♥ Katharine McPhee" and my mom was like "this is your biggest fan" and pointed to me, and kat was like " oh really?" and i was like "yea!" l ol ...ho and somewhere in there...she leaned over the table to give me a hug...so we hugged and my mom was like "wait i wanted to get a picture of that" "so we leaned over towards eachother and she got a picture...then...my mom was talking to her as she was signing some of the my sister stuff for her friends...and my mom was like "yea lindsay, did w/e she could to get ppl to watch you and vote for you, once she helped a kid with spanish homework, and in return he voted for you" and she looked at me, with omg, a look i will never forget...it was almost like puppy dog eyes...and omg such a sweet face and was like "awww...that is so sweet! thank you so much" and i was like "youre welcome" and smiled! and my mom was like "shes being shy' and shes like "its ok" and i gave her my poster of her that i bought and she signed it saying, in big letters. its takes up a whole side of the poster cause she wrote big, and she wrote "Thank you so much for all your hard work ♥ Katharine McPhee" and then my dad whispered to me saying "does she know who you are?" and i was like "i dunno" and hes like "this is lindsay, shes the one your mom gave tickets and stuff to, and we want to thank you and your mother, for this wonderful opputunity" and she was "oh really? yea my mom is so sweet" or something like that and kat was like "yea we usually give those tickets to you know like family an friends...but we dont have family here, *she gave us like this confused, like sad cute look* and was like so we give them to special fans who we feel did alot or as much as they could do, for me this season and who are just really big fans" and yea...i cant remember what we said back...i think we said thanks again...and so then i gave her another pic, the one in the tour book and i was like "will you sign just one more please" and she was like "yea of course" and then she limped over to the side of the table, for a pic with me and my sis...and she put her hands on our backs, and i put mine around her waist, and i dunno where my sis put hers...and we took the pic...and then she rubbed my back and said "thank you so much" and i was like "no thank you, this means alot to me" or something like that! so yea...i think there was more...but i cant remember right now...i think she said thanks a couple more times and said "thats so sweet' a couple more times too! so we moved on to the next person...

which was Lisa i think...and she took a pic...got her signature, and we found out she just turned 17...and yea...then i think we saw...Chris...and we got his signature, and got a pic with him...and my face touched his face! lol WOO HOO! and hes working on an album...then we saw i think it was maybe...paris? and she seemed distracted...like she didnt wanna be there...and has like a "lets get this over with" attitude....but yea oh but she said she is working on a c.d. and a sitcom...yea and...then Ace i think or Elliott...lets say Elliott...hes really short in person...so we got his autograph and a pic with him and he was sweet...then it was Ace and he is the sweetest guy ever! he called me sweetie! and he game me a hug! and he took a pic with my sis and i...and he like squeezed us close to him...and omg...he was so cute! and...we got him to sign our stuff...and...hes making a c.d. too! so then we went and sat for a minute to see if anyone else came in...and they didnt...so we didnt see Kellie, Mandisa, Taylor, or Bucky...but then

So that was my American Idol Concert Experience...i think i forgot some stuff...but i dunno! if i forget something i'll tell ta'll later!
