I'm just going to fast foward to Katharine's portion of the show because this is already getting too long and I still need to upload the pictures to Photobucket. Basically, she was awesome. I wasn't expecting her to come out because I thought the girls had a group number before her (do they?) and they didn't have one tonight. So she comes out singing BHACT and ughhh, that song kills me everytime. She had this long black dress on and it pretty much covered her feet, but I could tell she was barefoot and you could see a tiny bit of the boot she had on. She didn't walk around much, but she did dance around where she was standing. She said that she thinks she likes FL more than CA. And then she said that the next song she was going to sing would be her last because of doctor's orders...you could hear some the disappointment in the crowd, but she said she'd definitely make up for it when she tours on her own in the future. Then, SOTR...AMAZING! I think she sounded better than she did on the show...and that's hard for me to say because I cried when she sang it for the first time on AI. Everyone kept cheering for her when she hit the high notes...I almost died. Then at the end, she got a standing ovation...it literally gave me chills seeing everyone standing cheering and clapping for her like that...it was amazing and the best (and I think the only standing ovation of the night for a solo performer).

So then we have Living in America...homegirl was limping like crazy. When she climbed up to the higher level of the stage, she had to have Paris help her (she grabbed onto her hand or arm) up and down it. I felt so bad for her because you could tell she was having a hard time walking around and she had a very noticeable limp, especially when she was walking off the stage, but she was a trooper and stayed out there till the very end and even leaned out to shake someone's hand on the floor.

After the grand finale, the lights came back on and we made our way to the section where all the people were gathering for the aftershow. I admit it, I got giddy when I put that sticker on my shirt...like, ridiculously giddy. We sat around for a few minutes before one of the security guys came and got us and took us backstage. They walked us into this room where all of the idols except for Bucky, Kellie, Taylor, and Lisa were (Lisa and Taylor came out later...but they both left rather quickly). I went straight to Katharine first and there were already some people in front of me. She was sitting behind a table wearing a black tank top and this short, white summer-y skirt. She is TINY in person (not heightwise)...and SO gorgeous! I think it was around the time when I was waiting to meet her when I spotted Nick standing in the back of the room. He would talk occasionally to some guy (who I think was either family or a friend of one of the other idols)...but he kept to himself most of the time. When I'm about two people from Katharine, I call Jess and keep her on speakerphone, checking every 5 seconds to make sure she was still on the line. Sooo I finally get up to Kat and I am speechless at first, I whispered a Hi and I gave her my tour book to sign. I told her it was an amazing show and then I asked her if she'd say hi to my friend on the phone. I was about to tell her Jess's name, but she'd already gone Helloooo!. So when I told her her name, she whispers Hey Jess. I asked her for a picture and she stood up, leaned on the table and I leaned in and my friend snapped the picture. I thanked her and went on to the rest of the idols...but that was hands down the best moment of the night. BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER!!!

When we had met all the idols we walked out of the room so we could be escorted out of the backstage area. Katharine had already left the room by that time and we saw her standing just outside with Nick and some other guy talking. My friend and I were going to tell her good-bye, but chickened out at the last moment. But I didn't realize she was t here at first, so imagine my surprise when I turn around and see Katharine standing a few feet away from me. Yeah, I pretty much died.

okay guys, I just got back and I have news.

UPDATE...FIVE?: Katharine sounded AMAZING! I couldn't hear what she was talking about but Laura was screaming her head off. Guys, I have never heard her sound sooooooo good during SOTR. It was off the chain. She held those notes like a pro. And then...the best part: She got a STANDING OVATION!

And I just heard the group numbers. They sound like they are having fun. I could only hear Elliott really well and he was off the chain. Taylor did the what's up Ft. Lauderdale...minus the fact that it's actually Sunrise, but it's fine. I will get back to you.

i just got back from the show. kat sounded amazing. after bhct she was saying how she never been to this part of florida, she had only been to tampa and she likes it much better here. she said something about thats what florida girls and califronia girls have in common and i cant remeber for the life of me what she said we had in common. she was like dont tell my californias but i like it better here. and ill come back for my tour and do more than two songs. then she sang sotr and people were screaming "you should have won" it was funny. then in the group numbers she was having a hard time coming up the ramp so she did like this imanginary rope thing, it was so funny, paris came to her rescue. she did this arm thing similiar to thing she did on the best week ever outtakes. on her way to existing the stage she was doing the ghettoest limp ever.

Okay she called me back. Kat was standing behind a table because of her foot. She said hi to me. She signed her stuff. Frances's brother, which is Laura's friend, talked to McPhee, and she laughed at him. She was wearing a black tank top and white skirt thing. They had to help her off the stage after the group number, b/c she tripped. (She got all video) and a lot of pictures. Nick was there, but huddling in the corner, they didn't talk to him. She said Katharine was nothing but nice, so sweet. But she was in a hurry b/c of her foot. She was standing up/sitting down, but she stood when you asked for a pic. Her hair was down. She looked so gorgeous.
