Katharine McIdol from IDF recap

At this point I was pretty much dying because I knew Kat was next...

There she appeared at the top of the stage from the darkness. I was so excited to finally see her in person it was a little surreal. The first thing I noticed is she wasn't wearing the black dress she has been wearing on the tour. She was wearing a turquoise top and pants, her hair was curly.

I don't know if it was being free from the dress or what but she really moved around the stage (it makes it really hard to get good pictures haha). During BH&CT (I think it was) she lost one of those big hoop earings, so she said there goes the one earring, here comes the other one and threw her earing out into the crowd. I tried to catch it but to no avail. I believe it wasn't too long before she kicked her shoes off too. It's all kind of a blur as to when it exactly it all occurred.

Then she did Think. She said this one's for the ladies, sometimes we have to put the men in check. She came down onto the floor and grabbed Paris & Kellie from the side of the stage. She said come on and they ran across the front floor area. After that the 3 of them ended up on the floor standing in front of thebarrier singing. And then continued dancing and singing on the stage It was cute original.gif

SOTR was next. She said she wanted to thank everyone for making her dreams come true and dedicated it to the fans. It was flawless, just like we've all come to expect. I've been waiting to see her perform all summer and she didn't disappoint. I was in front where everyone pretty much stood the whole time - so I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty sure she got the standing-O. I can't wait for her CD original.gif original.gif original.gif

Another surprise appearance, Kat & the girls came out and did some background vocals & dancing during Taylor's Living For The City. They were having alot of fun. Kellie did a back flip. They were all really loose tonight, I'm glad I was able to go to this show. If Kat hadn't had missed my show, I probably wouldn't have gone so it worked out original.gif

During the group numbers the girls all had these big furry slippers on that were sneakers. They all wore different colors. Kat's were blue. I guess it must be some sort of inside joke related to the fact that they hate to wear shoes. That's my guess.

Close to the part of LIA where they start shouting out all the different cities, chaos pretty much broke out. There was alot of silly string being shot from every direction and some of the stage hands (I'm assuming) came out in g iant fat suits that I believe were fairies? Nevertheless it was hilarous. Kat was hugging one of the guys in the fat suit, it was funny. They all danced around admist silly string and there was alot of hugging going on. Kellie gave Kat a big hug and I'm not sure what Kellie said but I could read Kat's lips and she made a really sad face and said I Know I Can't Believe It... Kat was wiping away tears. They took their last bow and that was pretty much it.

I got to see Kat going to the bus after the show and she waved, but there was a giant hill and I really didn't expect her to climb it to come see the fans. None of the other Idols did either, they waved and got on the bus. So I didn't get to meet her but I hope to on the Sexy Hair sponsored Tour in 2007 original.gif

Here's my pics and a short video of the beginning of SOTR. Sorry the video wasn't longer and better quality - especially the audio. My battery was dying sad.gif That's why I don't have any pics of the stuff from LIA, but I'm sure some other people will.

Patbscerooges from MJ Recap

Kat is next. No black dress tonight - jeans and a beautiful low cut turquoise top instead - woo! She starts up "Black Horse and a Cherry Tree" and as she comes over to our side of the stage, looses an earring. What a sport - she just pulls the other one off and tosses it to the crowd. Excellent! Kat removes her shoes for "Think" and when she's down with the crowd, she pulls out Kellie and Paris and takes them back on stage for some dancing and singing. The girls are having a good time tonight. Group hug after the song and then Kat does "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". I felt that her vocals were excellent and she received much applause. During "Black Horse", Chris was on the side of the stage (and someone with him that I didn't recognize) and they were singing "woo hoo" with her. Really cute.I'm looking forward to Season Six, but they will have to really show me something to beat the American Idol Class of 2006.
